The film combines live action footage with 3D animation, digital matte painting and 2D graphics. As well as numerous background elements such as futuristic buildings and flying cars.

Posted April 9th, 2009

CakeWe’ve recently celebrated our 7th Birthday. It’s been a year of big changes for Qurios: we’ve moved to Newcastle, opened our London office and got some great new clients. It’s been an exciting journey, not without its pitfalls and challenges, especially in the current economic climate, but we’ve weathered the storms and continued to develop and grow.

Future plans include some major television projects and development on a range of our own properties. Here’s to the next 7 years.

We've Moved!
Posted Febuary 2nd, 2009

tyne bridgeIt’s all change at Qurios. Having spent the last 7 years in Hartlepool Qurios bids a fond farewell to its roots and has made the city of Newcastle upon Tyne its new home.

Qurios Entertainment’s Managing Director Niel Bushnell explains, “Having been based in Hartlepool since we started in 2002 it was with mixed feeling that we chose to move. We've had some great support from the town, especially from the local business network and the council who have always been there for us. We also want to thank our landlords Atkinson Print for making us feel very welcome. “

Qurios had been based in Hartlepool’s Church Street since its formation in the spring of 2002. During that time it moved into larger premises to accommodate its growing client base.

“With many of Qurios’ existing clients already in Newcastle the move makes a lot of sense, its now easier for our clients to drop in and review work, “ Bushnell continued, “Having an office in London and now one in Newcastle is going to help us to reach a wide number of new clients. We’re very excited about the future prospects and the new opportunities available to us”

Qurios can now be found at
Suite 20, 65 Westgate Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 1SG.

Animex Sting completed.
Posted January 7th, 2009

animex 2009We have recently completed work on a sting for the Animex Animation Festival, held in Middlesbrough in February. Producing the Animex intro has been both enjoyable and a huge challenge. We began work on this almost a year ago because we were determined to make something special to celebrate the festivals 10th anniversary.

We used the idea of looking back over the 10 years and tied that in with the TV logo that has been used for several years. The result is a potted history of the television combined with some sexy transformations. For more on the Animex Festival click here.
