Working with our live-action partners at Dene Films Qurios supplied a series of highly technical animated sequences.
Working from CAD designs supplied by the client our team created complex 3D animation of a range of lighting products.
Qurios also supplied a DNA sequence, recreating the microscopic world in high definition.
Written by Dene Films Producer Chris Chapmen the 5 minute film is a tongue-in-cheek look back on the present day from the perspective of 100 years in the future.
The film combines live action footage with 3D animation, digital matte painting and 2D graphics. As well as numerous background elements such as futuristic buildings and flying cars. We also designed and built a robot called NE-1 who is interviewed throughout the film.
A fun animated sequence for a film highlighting business opportunities at the 2012 Olympics.
Animation was created as a mix of 3D elements and 2D images completed in After Effects.
Qurios was asked to create a series of animated sequences for a promotional film celebrating the Tees Valley region.
Middlesbrough’s Bottle sculpture was recreated as a 3D computer model and its component parts animated into a flock of ribbon-like notes. The notes were composited into a series of aerial shoots of the Tees Valley and used as part of a film produced by Dene Films.
Production of a 1 minute animated intro for the Animex Animation Festival. Inspired in part by the history of television the sting makes use of the festivals TV shaped logo.
The result is a potted history of the television combined with some sexy transformations. For more on the Animex Festival click here

Production of a series of animated titles and graphics for Game Horizons conference, held in the Sage, Gateshead.
A complex sequence of titles for an awards ceremony held at Middlesbrough Football Stadium. The sequence utilises 2D elements and graphics representing different awards categories.
Ident created for games company The Pitbull Syndicate (now Midway Newcastle). Designed around the company’s existing brand this ident was created to show a friendlier aspect of the company.
Completed as for the Animex Animation Festival 2005, this piece included water simulation and multiple layers of foliage.
